Busy Weekend!

This weekend I was working the Heritage Makers booth at the Womans Show. It was a very busy show and I met a lot of great people who are looking forward to becoming heritage makers and preserving their own family history. Its wonderful to meet others and talk about the stories and memories they are planning to preserve – I love my job :)

Tonight after packing up after the show – my family and I went out for dinner and a couple of tables down was the cutest smallest little baby in her carseat. My kids were pointing at her and even my husband said ‘turn around and look at this adorable little baby”. After dinner I went to ask her mom how old she was (5 weeks) – and I saw her little head support had the Calgary Flames logo on it (the smallest fan I bet!) and between that and how cute she was I just had to give the mom a 5×5 baby girl brag book credit! :) It feels so good to give to others! I hope she calls me so that little princess can have her own little heirloom. :)

Nostalgia

Did you ever think about making a book about a period in time that you are
nostalgic about? Thats what I am working on next….

Today the news was officially announced on the Today Show that New kids on
the Block have reunited for a new album and a new tour! What a trip down
memory lane!

When I was a teenager my best friend and I were total blockheads…er…New Kids fans. We had the posters on our bedroom walls, had every cassette (even some vinyl) and a lot of other memorabilia.

What happened to it? Its all preserved in two very large tupperware bins in my
storage room. Who is going to laugh with me at the old photos from those
days if they are in a box? Thats right! No one!

I have decided to scan my photos, newspaper articles and concert tickets and
make a hardcover ever-lasting HM book of my NKOTB days!

I will be able to remember being 14 again and what it was like to adore
those five beantown boys day in and day out, for a mom with 2 kids of her own – I can’t wait! lol!

Why don’t you start on a book today about what music you are nostalgic about?

I sure wish my mom had Heritage Makers around when she was a Beatles fan! How much fun THAT would be to see her photos and read her stories from those days!

Email me if you need help getting started!
